Ok so I’m sure you guys know Julissa (a girl I model with check her out her photos). Well she recieved a “lucky monkey” from a friend of hers and decided to bring him on the trip. She kept telling the other girls (aka our competition) to rub the monkey for good luck. And guess what I said to those girls…”Don’t touch that monkey lol!” Julissa is in love with the tune “Santa Baby” so she decided to remake it into a luck monkey song.
Ok so let me tell you. The NYC auditions were supposed to be held from 10 til 3. But it was extended until 6. So we stood in line for almost nine hours! And just when we were a few feet from the door…the auditions got SHUT DOWN!!
Click the link below to see the “Lucky Monkey” song and to see our run down the NYC sidewalk lol!

Domestic violence is a common issue that isn’t commonly discussed. It can happpen to anyone. It is not ok and should never be taken lightly. If it happens once, then trust me it is bound to happen again. So I believe the best thing to do is to leave after the first time. Yes it’ll be hard but it will be the best thing you can do for yourself in the long run.
Movies that deal with this issue:
Enough
Sleeping with the Enemy
What’s Love Got to Do with It
Songs that deal with this issue:
“What About” by Janet Jackson
“I Refuse” by Aaliyah
“Carry On” by Ashanti
Do you have any songs or movies to add to the list? Or any comments on domestic violence? Let me know.

Obviously everyone has heard and or read about the alleged Rihanna and Chris Brown violent altercation that transpired on Feb .8. Everyone has an opinion but first let’s look at what we think we know. I broke it down into a timeline for us to look at.
Feb 8- domestic dispute occurs and Chris Brown turns himself in and is released on $50,000 bail
Feb 9- both celebs are no shows at the Grammy’s where they were scheduled to perform
Feb 9-10- Wrigley’s Doublemint chewing gum suspended ads featuring Chris Brown
Feb 12- Stations all over the country including Cleveland, Pittsburgh, New York and Indianapolis
Feb 14- “Got Milk” ads featuring Chris Brown were suspended
Feb 15- Brown releases a statement saying he is “….sorry and saddened over what transpired….is seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed with God’s help to emerging into a better person.”
Feb 19- TMZ obtains and publicizes a photo of Rihanna just after the dispute took place which is believed to have been leaked by the LAPD
Feb 20- Rihanna releases her first public statement since the unfortunate incident and says “At the request of the authorities , Rihanna is not commenting on the incident involving Chris Brown. She wants to assure her fans that she remains strong, is doing well and deeply appreciates the out pouring support she has received during this difficult time.”
March 5- Chris Brown is due in court
So here are some of the facts. Now I have a few questions…..
Was it right for Rihanna’s photo to have been publicized?
PRIVACY……Aren’t celebrities entitled to it?
Domestic violence has happened to celebs such as Tina Turner, Janet Jackson and now Rihanna. Everyone knows it happens to everyday people so why does it matter that these women are celebs?
Please feel free to give me your honest opinion and you may answer these question if you wish. I can’t wait to hear from you.

Hey world! It’s your favorite girl Janee’ and welcome to my blog Ecoute a Janee. For all you non french speaking people, it means “listen to Janee”. Which is ironic because I created this blog in order to hear from other people including you. So you’re probably wondering who I am right?
Well here’s a little about me. I am currently a student studying Commmunications and I am an aspiring model. And yes, like everyone else I hope to be famous soon, but we will discuss that in future blogs. I’m talkative, goofy, social, sarcastic and determined among other things. I love reading, listening to music, (modeling of course) and getting to know people.
I participated in beauty pageants when I was younger and that encouraged me to get into modeling. In the winter of 2008, I began building my portfolio with the guidance of First Glance Management. But that’s enough about me. I enjoy hearing other people’s opinions, so let’s get to it!
